Green house effect

A green living, it implies more than thinking eco-consciously. The current state of affairs in our apartment proves this right, as you can see in the pictures down below. Apparently the flat is not immune to the, well ... let’s say, green house effect (meaning: a process that makes one integrate all kinds of green items into his/her home and decoration).

A literally green living (room)

pillow cases – Dille & Kamille
wooden flowers - no brand
(they offer the ultimate advantage that they never need replacement)

Moroccan mint & mint-green mini Fiat 500
chives and a thousands mothers plant

P.S. How green do you live?

Biscuit cake

Do you have it too, a favourite dish that’s your favourite because it recalls sweet memories? Mine is Petit Beurre biscuit cake (koekjestaart in Dutch). My grandmother made it almost every year at Christmas day and as far as I can remember the Christmas joy reached its climax when the dessert was being served.

A family dinner last weekend was the perfect occasion to make this sweet meal again and ... to travel back in time the moment I got a piece of the cake on my plate.
The good thing about the recipe: it’s very basic and easy-to-make (I’d say bake but there’s no oven or fire involved in making the cake). Basically it comes down to this: the cookies are like building blocks for the masonry and butter cream serves as cement to keep the biscuit construction together. Interested in building a cake yourself?

A-Muse-ing night out

Earlier this week I got a last-minute invitation to join a friend of mine to Werchter Boutique, a one-night festival on one of Belgium’s most famous festival fields. It was the first true music festival ever for me to attend to ... and I liked it! (I'm planning to go to these events again so euhm, the "festivalbee" bit me.)

Royal suite

Welcome at Martin's Relais
It’s over, we’ve had it and it was GREAT: the little trip to Bruges that we (Le Boyfriend and I) made last weekend.

Parties and stuff

About a month ago I blogged about B-days and “their” parties. Due to a lack of interesting blog stuff I decided to share with you (once more) some party stuff. I hope you’re not getting bored with it because the (party) pictures might look all the same to you - even to me they do,
you know.

Black Beauties

That’s a perfect description of my latest purchase in the footwear department. As many times before I also found this pair of shoes in the Timberland Earthkeepers ® collection. That they are made with respect for planet earth makes me feel less guilty about buying another pair of shoes I don’t really need. Yet this one is more than “another” pair as there’s a love story involved.

Time is precious

That's nothing new I guess.
The watch pendant in the picture below is new, and precious.

watch pendant - no brand
Oh and get ready for some shoecraze. I wanted to blog about it today but didn't have time to create a "blogable" post. So I'd say: stay tuned!

P.S. You want to have a closer look at the watch? Check out Facebook ;)

Sunday Blues

Two sunny Sundays in a row, one (i.e. people living in Belgium) wouldn’t believe this is happening yet it is. Great!

However we had to deal with some blues. Not regarding the mood of course (when the sun is shining all day long happiness is all around), but the outfit. I mean: what’s better to wear on a sunny Sunday with a clear blue sky than ditto coloured clothes and accessories, right?

The bracelets are another B-day gift, from some friends.

P.S. I’m sorry for the short post, but I’ve been too busy working on the strawberry dress and enjoying the sun.
